Clemson University

College of Health, Education and Human Development

Enrolling over 22,600 students, Clemson University is a selective public, co-educational research institution with sea-grant and land-grant status to operate six colleges from a vast 17,000-acre rural campus just 27 miles west of downtown Greenville along the Blue Ridge foothills. PRTM Degree with Community Recreation, Sport, and Camp Management Concentration

For a Bachelor of Science, Clemson offers a Parks, Recreation, Tourism Management (PRTM) degree with seven specialized concentrations, including Community Recreation, Sport, and Camp Management (CRSCM). Coastal Carolina University

College of Science

Gaining independence in 1993, Coastal Carolina University is now a public, state-funded liberal arts institution with sea-grant status to educate over 10,200 students from its 630-acre suburban campus in Conway just a half hour from the Atlantic Ocean. From the LEED-certified HTC Center, the CCU Chanticleers have eight men’s and nine women’s varsity teams competing in the NCAA Division I Sun Belt Conference. Coastal is currently ranked the 63rd best college, 26th top public school, and sixth best value university in the South by the U.S. News. The College of Science houses 17 bachelor’s programs ranging from mathematics and information technology to biology and public health.

B.S. in Recreation and Sport Management (RSM)

The B.S. in Recreation and Sport Management (RSM) program at Coastal takes a career-oriented approach to developing skills and theories that transfer directly to the sports business workplace. Within the 58-credit major, students gain a breadth of knowledge in event planning, facility management, research methods, risk management, budgeting, advertising, personnel management, and project management. Erskine College

Located on a 90-acre rural campus in Due West within 16 miles from Greenwood, Erskine College is an accredited private, non-profit Christian liberal arts institution offering bachelor’s programs affiliated with the Associate Reformed Presbyterian Church. The Erskine Flying Fleet competes in the NCAA Division II Conference Carolinas with 15 varsity teams from lacrosse to basketball. With an enrollment of 575 students, Erskine College is ranked the 292nd best private college nationally and 93rd top school in the South by Forbes magazine. Sports Management Major

Ideal for students passionate about nutrition and fitness, the Sports Management Major leads to a Bachelor of Science degree at Erskine College. Limestone College

Education and Physical Education Division

Department of Sport Professions

Affiliated with the Evangelical Lutheran Church of America (ELCA), Newberry College is an independent, co-educational liberal arts institution endowed for $23 million to serve over 1,000 students from its 90-acre urban campus in Newberry just 43 miles from Columbia. From wrestling to cross country, the Newberry Wolves compete for 17 varsity teams in the South Atlantic Conference of NCAA Division II. B.S. Physical Education with Sport Management Concentration
