Bachelor of Science in Sport Management

In partnership with the Ruth S. Ammon School of Education, the Bachelor of Science in Sport Management program is available for Adelphi students looking to become familiar with business principles related to the sports industry. Specialized tracks include Sports Marketing, Public Relations, Mass Media Communications, and Sport Business. Requiring 120 credits, the four-year curriculum includes courses from coaching and physical education to accounting and financial analysis. The program won’t lead to teacher certification in New York State though. B.S. students are encouraged to complete fieldwork and a senior internship.

Online M.S. in Sport Management

First started in January 2015, the Online M.S. in Sport Management program at Adelphi allows graduate students to target their desired career goals in the diverse sports industry without commuting to Garden City. All courses in the 36-credit curriculum can be completed 100% online while continuing to work full-time. Students become familiar with topics in sport psychology, organizational leadership, sponsorship, merchandising, facility management, sports law, etc. Specializations are offered in Sport Marketing and Collegiate Athletic Administration. If interested, there’s an optional Certificate in Sport-Based Youth Development. For added flexibility, the program has a capstone project rather than an internship.

MBA in Management in Sport Management

Fully accredited by the AACSB International, the MBA in Management program can be completed full-time or part-time by working professionals to build students’ advanced capacity to make critical decisions affecting their organizations and society. The program offers eight different specializations, including Sport Management. Those selecting this route will take electives in sport marketing, sport sponsorship, sport economics, and sport licensing after the strong business core. Depending on previous education, the MBA can require 33 to 66 credits. There’s also an Accelerated MBA option for obtaining the degree in just 17 months with Saturday classes.

Founded in 1947 as a women’s college by the Sisters of St. Francis of Penance, Daemen College is a small private non-sectarian liberal arts institution located on a scenic 35-acre campus in Amherst, the most populous suburb of Buffalo.
